The Huron Country Playhouse is gearing up for its biggest season yet, featuring a mix of musicals, dramas, and family shows that promise something for everyone. Artistic Director David Connolly says he is excited for the season.
This summer, the main stage will feature three major productions. The season opens with 42nd Street.
Next is The Full Monty, a lively story about men finding creative ways to rebuild their lives. The main stage season concludes with Disney’s Frozen, a family-friendly show full of music and adventure.
The second stage will also host four productions. Audiences can enjoy a panto twist on Snow White and the Seven Tenors, the country music revue Nashville Music City, the suspenseful drama Misery, and the heartwarming dramedy Over the River and Through the Woods. Connolly said the variety ensures there is a show for everyone, from date nights to family outings.
Drayton Entertainment also runs an Artist Housing Partner Program, helping visiting actors, designers, and crew find safe, comfortable places to stay near the theater.
As the season approaches, Connolly encourages the community to come together to enjoy live theater.
