Hydro One is updating electricity meters across the province but it will be a while before Strathroy-Caradoc is done.
The new meters will provide more accurate outage detection, helping Hydro One restore power faster and more efficiently.
Hydro One tells myFM they expect to start updating in our region in late 2026.
Residents will not be charged for the new meters or their installation and Hydro One will notify customers directly before any replacement takes place.
