The future Wright Place Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre in Strathroy is still under construction, but residents had a chance for a first hand look at the new site Thursday night at an open house. myFM caught up with some of the visitors, who told us their thoughts on the centre in downtown Strathroy.

Visitors had nothing but positive things to say about the new space.
The Wright Family Performing Arts & Entertainment Centre Foundation says plans for the upgraded facility are now moving from the design stage into construction. The project, designed by a+LiNK Architecture Inc., will transform the space into a modern hub for music, theatre, and entertainment.
To help fund the $6 million renovation, the Foundation has launched the “Build It Wright” campaign. Once complete, the updated venue will offer improved accessibility, better performance space, and a more comfortable experience for audiences.

Strathroy-Caradoc Mayor Colin Grantham says this is great news for the community.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with more updates to come as the project moves forward.
