Students in the region will have a unique chance this summer to explore a future in health care. London Health Sciences Centre is now accepting applications for its Trauma Career Bootcamp, a week-long program designed for high school students entering Grade 11 or 12.
The camp will take place at Victoria Hospital from July 6th to 10th and will give students hands-on experience in a hospital setting. Participants will have the opportunity to shadow different health-care professionals, learn about various career paths, and see what it takes to work in the medical field.
Students will also take part in practical training, safety lessons, injury prevention activities, and team-building exercises led by experts.
The program runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and costs $150, which covers all activities and supplies. Organizers say safety is a top priority, and students will receive training on infection prevention and proper safety procedures before the program begins.
Applications are open now and will close on Friday.
