Residents in North Middlesex are being invited to take part in the community’s annual Spring Clean-Up this weekend. The event will take place on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with drop-off locations set up at the Transfer Station on Victoria Street in Parkhill and the municipal parking lot on Old Mill Street in Ailsa Craig.
Officials say brush and yard waste will only be accepted at the Parkhill Transfer Station location. E-waste, leaves, and yard waste can be dropped off free of charge, while other materials will be subject to regular fees.
Residents are reminded that hazardous materials will not be accepted at the event.
Payment by debit, credit, and cash will be available at both locations. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to check the municipality’s regular transfer station schedule for other drop-off opportunities.
Officials say the clean-up is a great way for residents to get rid of unwanted items and help keep the community looking its best this spring.
