The Summit of Strength Gala in support of ALS research was a great success earlier this month. Organizer Preciosa Baganha popped into the myFM studios to tell us more.
Press organized the gala at the Portuguese Canadian Club April 11th for Tracy Brants and Kyle Pimentel, both from Strathroy. She says one theme came through during the evening, time and time again.
The event, which attracted over 200 people, raised 45-thousand dollars. 30-thousand will go to the London researchers and 15 thousand to ALS Canada. Again, head to the website The Summit of Strength Gala for ALS | Strathroy, ON for speeches and other highlights from the evening.
