Woodstock Police have laid multiple charges and seized firearms, drugs and cash following a drug trafficking investigation. Officers executed a search warrant Thursday at a Ferguson Drive residence, where they located a loaded handgun, two tasers, more than $14,000 in cash and cocaine valued at about $3,500. Two individuals, a 21-year-old Woodstock man and a 19-year-old woman from Strathroy were arrested.
All were charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition. One of the men also faces an additional charge of trafficking cocaine.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
