Now that Strathroy’s new Station #1 fire hall is up and running, the focus shifts to the Mount Brydges Station #2. myFM caught up with Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Chief Steve Beazley this past weekend and asked about progress on plans for Station 2.
Chief Beazley says until a new station can be built, they’re focused on making the current one better in several ways.
It’s been discussed by Strathroy-Caradoc council in the past whether both Mount Brydges and Melbourne should have their own fire halls or possibly amalgamate, but it was decided that each community should continue to have its own fire station.
