It’s a big day as we start to work our way towards municipal elections across the province, coming up in late October.
Today is the start of the nomination process, where people announce their intentions to run in the election, be it for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, a council seat or a seat on a school board.
Here in Strathroy-Caradoc, one Mayor and one Deputy Mayor are elected, along with seven councillors, four in Ward 1 and three in Ward 2, plus five school board trustees are also elected.
Nomination packages are available at the Strathroy-Caradoc Municipal Office at 52 Frank Street during office hours and can also be found on the town’s website. Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc 2026 Election
Nomination papers must be filed in person at the municipal office by August 21st at 2pm.
