Strathroy’s McDonalds and other McDonalds restaurants across Canada are celebrating their biggest fundraising event today as McHappy Day returns.
The annual event invites people to support families with critically sick and injured children simply by ordering their favourite menu items. A portion of all sales from food and drinks will go toward helping families in need.
Funds raised on McHappy Day support Ronald McDonald House Charities and other local children’s charities. These programs help families stay close to their children while they receive medical care by providing places to stay, meals, and wellness supports.
Last year alone, Ronald McDonald House programs across Canada helped more than 32,000 families from nearly 3,000 communities.
Now in its 30th year, McHappy Day has raised more than $111 million across the country.
