Last week we told you about some new community-based health clinics which have opened in Strathroy, Lucan and Dorchester. myFM caught up with Middlesex-London’s Medical Officer of Health Dr. Alex Summers who explained why they opened these clinics.
Dr. Summers tells us the clinics are about more than kid’s vaccines and sexual health.
Many people were upset when the health unit clinic closed in Strathroy but Dr. Summers says this helped them focus on this model, which can include more county residents.
Here in Strathroy, the immunization clinic and sexual health clinic is next open on May 26th from 1pm til 4. (Then June 30th, July 28th and August 25th).
They’re located in the MLHU Dental Office in the Shops on Sydenham, and to book a vaccination, call 519-663-5317.
