Strathroy Hospice has over 42,000 reasons to smile, now that the Spring version of the Smile Cookie campaign total from Tim Hortons has been revealed. Officials from the Hospice and Timmy’s got together last week at the Tim’s near Staples to officially announce the total from the campaign which ran from April 27th to May 3rd, at $42,258.50.
The goal was $25,000-$30,000 so they were well above that, and in fact, it was their highest total yet for Smile Cookie sales locally.
Hospice Board Member Michelle Couto tells myFM they can’t thank those who bought Smile Cookies enough and also give a huge shout out to all the eager volunteers who helped decorate cookies.
General Manager of Strathroy’s three Tim Horton’s locations, Janice Chachulski says it was easy to decide where the proceeds from smile cookies would go.
Since its launch 30 years ago, the Smile Cookie campaign has raised over $150 million across Canada and the U-S.
