One of Strathroy’s most popular summer traditions is set to return as the Hometown Festival Car Show takes over downtown this Friday. According to Strathroy-Caradoc Cruisers Vice President John Ball, the event will once again bring hundreds of classic and custom vehicles, live entertainment, food vendors, and family fun to the downtown core.
The show will be centered around Frank Street and Front Street. Street closures will begin at 11 a.m., with show vehicle parking opening at 2 p.m.
As always, the show is free for spectators to attend.
Food will be available from a variety of local vendors and organizations, including the Strathroy Fire Department, Mount Brydges Lions Club, Domino’s Pizza, and several downtown restaurants.
The event serves as a major fundraiser for local charities.
Ball says the Strathroy-Caradoc Cruisers raise about $20,000 each year, with proceeds supporting organizations such as Strathroy Hospice and local food banks.
According to Ball, you won’t want to miss this years live band.
Ball is encouraging residents to bring their families, check out the vehicles, enjoy the entertainment, and support a great community cause.
