Canada Day is coming up tomorrow and the day is expected to cloudy with a 40% chance of Thunderstorms. However, weather can change on a dime so its best to check the forecast before going anywhere!
Some stores will still be open, like Shoppers Drug Mart, which is open regular hours from 8 a.m to 10 p.m, while Real Canadian Superstore, Walmart and Food Basic’s are all closed.
Government offices, banks, libraries, and most municipal services will be closed for the day, along with all LCBO and Beer Store locations.
Emergency rooms will stay open, but some walk-in clinics may be closed. Emergency services will continue to be available if needed.
Don’t forget about the Del-Ko-Brydge Canada Day celebrations taking place tomorrow. Festivities are at Lions Park in Mount Brydges with fireworks ending the night at Komoka Park in Komoka!
If you are headed to Grand Bend to watch the firework show, and enjoy the beach party, keep in mind there will be increased traffic from visitors and with that increased OPP patrols.
Be sure to share the road, our community, and your kindness with visitors as we take the time to celebrate Canada’s birthday.
myFM news will be back on Thursday, have a safe and happy Canada Day!
