They’ve been showing up in municipalities across the country and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 116 in Strathroy wants one too.
The Legion has written a letter to Strathroy-Caradoc council requesting their support and financial assistance for the creation of a Memorial Crosswalk in downtown Strathroy.
The Legion says the crosswalk would serve as a permanent and highly visible tribute to the men and women who have served our country and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Council voted to request a brief staff report on costs and other considerations that may be involved in such a project.
