This week at Strathroy-Caradoc Council the topic of an affordable housing unit at 273 Frances Street. Council approved certain staff members to serve on the Evaluation Committee for the review and evaluation of the request For Proposal submissions related to the affordable housing project at 273 Frances Street. The focus was to not only have members of Council to become that Committee. Councillor Frank Kennes commented that the experts need to be a part of this process.
The topic and the approval did not come without another example of conflict with this council between members as Councillor Kennes and Derbyshire forced a recess during the meeting.
The committee members will be the Manager of Growth and Development, the Manager of Planning for the County of Middlesex, County of Middlesex Procurement, the Director of Community and Development Services, the Director of Economic Development & Community Engagement, the Director of Engineering and Public Works, the Director of IT & Financial Services / Treasurer, and the Chief Administrative Officer.
