We have several food banks in Strathroy-Caradoc, did you know we also have a food bank for pets?
It just started in May, in cooperation with the Humane Society of Middlesex-London, and it runs out of the Salvation Army food bank.
Salvation Army Community and Family Services Support Worker Tasha Hebert tells us more.
Hebert says they’re so happy they can now help people with their beloved pets.
The pet food is given out in 5 pound bags.
The Salvation Army asks that people call ahead and book an appointment to pick up pet food, just like they do for the “people” food bank.
