The Emergency Department at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital is currently experiencing longer than usual wait times.
The hospital issued a statement yesterday, through social media.
They say while patient volumes are not unusually high, the hospital is operating over capacity right now, and some patients who are waiting for an inpatient bed are still in the emergency department.
That means fewer treatment spaces in emergency.
The hospital says if your condition is not life-threatening, you might want to consider other options like your family doctor, local pharmacy or by calling 8-1-1 for advice.
