The Middlesex Hospital Alliance is thanking staff for their dedication after a recent Code Orange last week brought a sudden surge of patients to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital’s Emergency Department. A Code Orange is declared when an unexpected event results in a large number of patients arriving at once, requiring additional staff and resources. Hospital officials say the Emergency Department was already extremely busy when the alert was issued, but employees from across the organization quickly stepped up to help. Leaders praised staff for ensuring patients continued receiving safe, high-quality care throughout the emergency.
