Legendary singer, songwriter and actress Dolly Parton has passed away.
Her death was confirmed this afternoon by her family in a post shared on social media by her nephew. Dolly was one of the best-selling artists of all time, selling more than 100 million records worldwide. She also made her mark in Hollywood, starring in blockbuster movies like “9 to 5” and “Steel Magnolias”.
While her official cause of death hasn’t been revealed, Parton had been dealing with health issues in recent months, forcing her to cancel her Las Vegas residency. Dolly is pre-deceased by her husband Carl Dean, who died in March of 2025. Dolly Parton was 80.
