The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service and Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department will swap their uniforms for baseball jerseys on Saturday, September 19, for the inaugural Hometown Heroes for Hospice Charity Baseball Game. The friendly matchup begins with a 3 p.m. first pitch at Alexander Park Baseball Diamond. Admission is free, with no tickets required. Volunteers will pass donation buckets through the stands to raise money for Strathroy Hospice and the care it provides. Families are encouraged to attend, bring their gloves, cheer from the bleachers, and support the community fundraiser. We will have more on this story including comments from local police coming soon.
