Mike McGuire is seeking re-election as Deputy Mayor of Strathroy-Caradoc. He tells us he wants to build on what’s been accomplished over the last term.
McGuire notes quite a bit of business was taken care of over almost four years.
There’s also the Mt. Brydges Waste Water project and one initiative (Stratroy-Caradoc Housing Corporation) that McGuire says took him by surprise in terms of how it invovled him.
The final three policies will go to the municipality’s corporate membership this month for approval and adoption.
Asked about his thoughts on the current council and how the group operates, McGuire says there’s a great administration running Strathroy-Caradoc.
McGuire says he doesn’t wait for people to come to him. He routinely solicits the opinions of constituents, developers and community builders.
As a lifelong resident of Strathroy-Caradoc, McGuire says he’s demonstrated his leadership ability as Deputy Mayor and hopes voters will see it that way too in October.
