Residents in Strathroy-Caradoc will head to the polls on October 26th to choose who they want representing them on municipal council. William Kampers is taking his first shot at a council seat in Ward 1.
Kampers has served on council’s accessibility committee pushing for improved conditions for those, like him, with a disability.
Kampers says he was then encouraged by Southwest Middlesex Mayor Al Mayhew to see if he could affect even more change, trying for council.
Kampers admits he’s seen his share of setbacks but sees that as a way to help others.
Others running in Ward 1 are incumbents Steve Pelkman and Donna Pammer, as well as Al Azevedo, Matthew Hall, Kevin Morrison and Brad Richards.
