The Strathroy and District Chamber of Commerce is expanding its reach after receiving approval to change its name to the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce.
The organization says Industry Canada has approved the name change and an expansion of its service area to include all of Middlesex County, excluding the City of London.
Executive Director Donna Pammer says the change reflects the way businesses across the region already work together and creates new opportunities for local businesses.
The chamber says a larger membership will also help it offer more resources, training opportunities, events and programs for local businesses.
Pammer says the organization will continue building on its long history of supporting local communities while working to strengthen connections across Middlesex County.
The Chamber is now working on a rebranding process to reflect its new name. More details about the new look are expected to be shared in the coming weeks.
