For eight years Major Roland Shea has worked every day to expand the work the Salvation Army does in the community, and so far has found lots of success whether it be the Christmas Kettle Campaign or Christmas Hampers, but there’ve been a few rough times along the way, although everything else pales in comparison to the coronavirus, Shea explained.
Despite the present day challenges, Shea says they’ve built the Salvation Army up every single year, with increased donations and fundraisers, and will continue to do so. Shea said there’s lots of families in need in Strathroy-Caradoc and they try and help as many as they can.
