The Strathroy-Opoly board game – based on Monopoly – is available now at Walmart. Outset Media has the rights from the Parker Brothers to create a like-minded version of the best selling game of all time but with a local twist. Senior VP Jean Paul Teskey tells myFM there’s lots of familiar locations – and events – you’ll recognize.
Walmart Canada approached Outset Media asking them to create local Monopoly-like games for each city and town they have a store in. Teskey says the first round of board games sold out and they expect over 500 more to come into Walmart at some point this week.
