At least one ice pad is scheduled to go into the Gemini for mid-August.
Strathroy-Caradoc Director of Community Services Rob Lilbourne said there won’t really be additional challenges when it comes to putting the ice in despite the doors being closed since March, but what will change, is how arenas will operate.
Lilbourne says they’ve been in continuous conversation with the Middlesex-London Health Unit and reiterated that while they’re allowed to open an arena, it’ll look different once people are out there.
As for the other arenas and pads, Lillbourne said the installation of ice will be based on demand.
