Linda Blain has released a book from her grandmother’s perspective as a teenager in Poland during World War II.
‘Enduring the Empire,’ follows Blain’s grandmother, Halinka, and her journey navigating occupied Poland as their family tries to flee their home country in search of safety.
The Strathroy resident wanted to publish a book based off stories passed down and researched facts of what occurred and it’s a designed read for teens and preteens.
It was a sixth grade essay on the war Blain had to write which sparked further interest in learning more.
You can purchase a copy wherever you normally buy your books or eBooks.
