Jaslo Properties hopes to construct a 25 unit apartment building geared towards ‘entry level,’ pricing rentals on Metcalfe Street East. The lands are a consolidation of two properties with frontage on McNab Street and Fullerton Avenue. Owners Jamie and Sue Looman discussed their plans for the potential property during a Monday public meeting at Strathroy-Caradoc council.
Senior Planner at the municipality Tim Williams said its classification would mean renters would have to be fully aware of what they’re signing up for.
The units would be in a ‘Class 4’ noise designation, due to a Meridian Lightweight Technologies property located directly south of their site. Jamie Looman said they’d install A/C in each unit to mitigate the noise in the summer and are looking at other options as well.
