
All three stations from Strathroy-Caradoc Fire were called out to a barn fire on Irish Drive Tuesday night just before midnight. Fire Chief Brent Smith tells myFM, that upon arrival, the barn was already heavily involved, and firefighters took on a defensive attack based on the already heavy involvement of the blaze. Middlesex Center Delaware Station also provided Tanker support. Fire cause is undetermined and damage estimate for the fire is $225,000. Chief Smith says the fire was likely the cause of electrical in the pump house however he says he cannot eliminate other possibilities because of the total loss. There were a total of 44 firefighters on scene at the peak of the event.
