Through the Municipal Modernization Program, the Municipality of North Middlesex Water Treatment Software Modernization and the Municipality of Brooke-Alvinston Water Mapping Software Implementation both will be supported. This is a part of the $26 million the government is investing across the province to support the modernization of 233 small and rural municipalities.
Monte McNaughton, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex said “some projects, like public transit projects, green infrastructure, social infrastructure, and trade and transportation routes. These projects will help ensure that Brooke-Alvinston and North Middlesex will benefit from innovative and streamlined solutions that will positively impact services and save taxpayer dollars.”
Municipalities can use the funding to find efficiencies and implement a wide range of initiatives to benefit the area.
