As myFm reported to you this week, the Ontario government is helping women who are victims of violence or abuse by investing $243,000 in nine rural agencies who support them. The investment will provide selected non-profit organizations with more resources to improve access to quality care and services for people in rural and remote communities. One of the nine agencies is the Women’s Rural Resource Centre in Strathroy. Executive Director Corey Allison says it has been tough times during the pandemic.
The government will work collaboratively with rural service providers to deliver targeted localized supports and implement projects that build positive outcomes for women living in or from rural communities. The Women’s Rural Resource Centre in Strathroy will receive $9,500.
