George and Rhonda Noll have been named Campaign Co-Chairs for the East Lambton Community Complex Campaign Cabinet. The Campaign Cabinet will lead fundraising efforts to raise $2 million toward the $11.5M project happening in Watford. Features of the addition to the arena include three new accessible dressing rooms, upgrades to existing dressing rooms, new accessible washrooms, and a new common area beside the canteen. The addition on the south end of the building will include a new gymnasium and banquet hall with an astounding capacity of 750 that will feature a dividing wall, walking track along the perimeter and a new kitchen and bar. There will also be a multi-purpose room with a 65-person capacity, YMCA fitness room and partnership, a lounge area, and outdoor kitchen to name a few. In 2020, Warwick Township Council voted in favour to expand and renew the Watford Community Arena and Watford Centennial Hall by approving an $11.5M renewal of the Watford Community Arena and a new, multi-purpose facility. Construction began in the spring of 2021 and is set for completion by
November 2022.
