The OPP are warning seniors to be vigilant following a number of reports of door to door and phone scams. OPP are asking everyone to be on the look out for scams, saying these individuals can use high pressure tactics and can be aggressive. Consumers may find themselves in a situation where they purchase a product or sign up for a service they didn’t want or need. According to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre, they received 127 reports related to service scams from Ontario victims with a reported loss of $695,454.
