Middlesex OPP were called to a residence on McKellar Street in Glencoe on Sunday for a report of a traffic complaint which escalated to threats. Investigation revealed the accused and victim were known to each other. As a result a 30-year-old of Brooke-Alvinston, has been charged with:
– Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
– Dangerous operation
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Court to speak to the charges at a later date.
Also Sunday, Police were called at about 9am to Mill Road, Dorchester, Thames Centre for the report of a vehicle entry and theft of a wallet. Police said a window was smashed to get to the wallet. Police would like to remind all Middlesex County residents to remove valuables from your vehicle upon exiting or keep them out of sight. At about 2am on Saturday, Middlesex OPP did a routine traffic stop which resulted in a 38-year-old of West Perth, being charged with:
– Operation while impaired
– Novice driver
– Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit
– Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused has been released from Police and will appear in court at a later date.
About 12 hours later, Middlesex OPP responded to a two car crash that sent 5 people to the hospital. A 71-year-old driver of London has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Fail to yield to traffic on through highway.
