Two people are okay following a recent Thames River incident. OPP tell us on April 15th they along with Middlesex Centre Fire and Paramedic Service, were dispatched to the area of Komoka Road and Gideon Drive, for the report of two individuals who had entered the water. The pair were on the Thames River when their watercraft flipped. Both managed to get to shore, where an onlooker called for help. The involved individuals were both transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. OPP would like to remind you that extreme caution should be exercised when in and around water this time of year, due to cold water temperatures and high levels resulting in a fast-moving current.
