This week is Police Week, a time to showcase efforts of services across the province. Middlesex OPP Constable Jeff Hare explains a bit of the background to the week, which coincides with Peace Officers Memorial Day which was recognized internationally on May 15th.
Hare adds the OPP will be hosting a Cops and Cowboys event next week with London Police Service at the Lonestar Texas Grill in London in support of Special Olympics. Strathroy-Caradoc Police Constable Michelle McIntyre says this week is to emphasize the importance of ongoing collaboration between police and community partners.
She adds Strathroy-Caradoc Police will be launching their helmet campaign later this month or early in June.
