The Ontario Provincial Police are moving record checks online as of June 13th. The online application is easy and you can quickly, easily and securely check for a Criminal record, Judicial matters Check, Vulnerable sector check and an OPP non-parent custody check. Payment is done through the website, and your check results will be delivered directly to you through a secure portal link. The fee’s for record checks has not changed; a Record Check is $41, Fingerprints $90 and Volunteer checks are still free. Additional information will be available to the public at opp.ca/recordchecks as of June 13, 2022.
“On average, the OPP completes 140,000 police record checks every year. We are so pleased to launch the new online system, which will significantly streamline the application process for both our members and the public. Moving police record checks online allows the OPP to efficiently and effectively meet the needs of the communities we serve.” Says Deputy Commissioner Chris Harkins, Field Operations.
