Ribfest is back this year at the Fairgrounds Recreation Complex following a year where organizers ran drive thru event. Kait Topham, Booking and Events Coordinator for the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, says there’s a variety of food, events and stuff for the kids.
Everything takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Trucks open shop at 11am and close at 10pm Friday and Saturday and will close Sunday at 6pm. There will be live entertainment Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 9pm. Happening this weekend also, is the The Jake Beach Volleyball Tournament. This will be the grand opening of The Jacob Damen Memorial Beach Volleyball Courts on Friday. It will be followed by “THE JAKE” beach volleyball tournament on July 9th & 10th. The Vaughan MacPherson Memorial Basketball Court Dedication Ceremony will be held on Saturday at 1pm. Youth exhibition games follow the ceremony. Sleepy Hollow train ride will also be running Saturday from 1-5 by donation.
