A huge success recently was the VON Middlesex-Elgin’s Activity Challenge, formerly the Great Community Walk Run and Roll as it returned to it’s first in-person event in 3 years this past June. The event in total combining the in-person event in Mount Brydges and online participation as well raised $44,190 to be put towards programs and services locally with the VON. This year the event paid tribute to a very special lady that had been at the event since its beginning. This year the inaugural Donna Patterson Community Contributor Award was presented and it went to Phyllis Laughton.
