
Come this October for the 2022 Municipal Election there will be a race in Adelaide Metcalfe Township for the seat of Councillor. Long time political representative Gerald Sanders who comes with over a half century of experience has officially entered the race. Sanders began his Council career back in 1970, where he served 4 years before resigning due to health reasons. He returned in 2000 as Councillor for 3 years and before that he was the Drainage Superintendent for Metcalfe Township. Once again another council stint in 2014 and did not run in 2018. He says he thinks a change needs to happen and he believes he can do the job. He says the key to being a good leader is the right characteristics of a good person.
Sanders has been involved in municipal politics on and off for over 50 years and has lived in the Township for 54 years. myFM will have full Municipal election coverage in October.
