It happened on Calvert Drive between Glencoe and Strathroy took on flames just after 9am according to Dan Parker, Adelaide Metcalfe fire chief. He says two children weren’t home at the time and no one was hurt from the blaze Parker estimates around $800,000 in damage to the home, garage plus two vehicles. According to the fire department, the call came in about 9:13am, and when crews arrived on scene about eight minutes later, the kitchen was already in flames.
