Strathroy-Caradoc Council had a special meeting last week to discuss the municipality’s boundary settlement. Mayor Colin Grantham was quick to assure listeners that no final decisions were made.
A draft was first made in the summer of last year and presented to the pervious council. The meeting last week was to discuss the draft that was presented and obtain information only. Grantham says developers were eager to add their land.
There has been a bit of uncertainty surrounding the areas of Saxonville Estates, Twin Elm Estates and the Collins Way Subdivision in regards to where the ward boundaries lie, coupled with the fact those three areas are geographically located in the Strathroy porper area, and bordering the Ward 1 and Ward 2 line. Grantham told myFM it wasn’t a topic of discussion at the Boundary Settlement meeting, but a discussion regarding that topic makes sense. Grantham says the Municipality has hired consultants that will work with County planners so a final draft will be shown in the spring of this year.
