On Thursday of last week, Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department responded to an industrial facility fire on the corner of High Street and Zimmerman Avenue in Strathroy. Thirty firefighters from all three municipal stations were present on-site along with assistance from the London Fire Department. Crews were on scene for seven hours, fighting an extremely challenging fire consisting of below-grade and high heights fire. Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department Fire Prevention division is investigating and has reported extensive damage. Crews performed admirably in extreme heat conditions. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
