The front doors to the Strathroy-Caradoc Municipal building will remain closed to the public and now the side entrance will be the permanent use for customer service and at least for now meeting attendance by the public. One of the election promises on the table for Mayor Colin Grantham back in October was in fact opening up the front doors that had been closed due the pandemic, but sometimes for good reason he says, promises need to be pulled back.
Grantham says security should be paid attention to.
When asked if security is the reason, why did the front doors only get closed due to the pandemic and not before.
Public attending meetings are to access the side door entrance 30 minutes before the meeting is set to begin.
