
Strathroy’s south end will see some new resurfacing coming soon stemming from this week’s council meeting. Council awarded a tender to Dufferin Construction Company, for $409,201 (excl. HST) for the project. It will be work on Southfield Drive and Park Street from Spence Drive to Southfield Drive for a total linear length of 1.1 kilometers, and will also include the removal of the existing asphalt, maintenance hole adjustments with new frame and covers, and miscellaneous curb repairs. $162,985 of the project’s budget will be carried forward from the 2022 Asphalt Resurfacing Program. To cover the remaining balance, $246,216.00 plus HST will be reallocated from the 2023 approved Tar and Chip budget.
