You’re being asked to help and support the family of a local nurse who was seriously injured in a vehicle rollover earlier this week on the 115.
The crash, which happened on Wednesday afternoon, took place just south of The Parkway and the victim involved has been identified as Cori Elliott. Elliott works as a nurse at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre according to a GoFundMe page started by her aunt Lisa Wiley.
Wiley released a statement on-behalf of the family, which said her niece suffered small spinal fractures, broken clavicle, broken finger, a very serious gash to her head and has yet to regain consciousness.
The goal of the fundraising effort is to bring in $10,000 to help out the family with expenses like gas, parking, food, hotel accommodations and lost wages.
