Middlesex County Warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson and County Councilor Brian Ropp were in attendance at the Annual Plowing Match organized by the Middlesex Plowmen’s Association on September 4th.
This year, the event took place in North Middlesex and was hosted by Joe Thomson, serving as a vibrant showcase of Middlesex County’s rich farming heritage and featured a diverse range of activities and competitions, including the prestigious VIP plowing match and the Queen of the Furrow contest.
Participants and attendees from various parts of the region gathered together to partake in festivities and commemorate the vital role of agriculture in our community.
Warden Burghardt-Jesson, expressed her excitement for the day, stating “It was a splendid day to celebrate our deep agricultural roots at the Middlesex Plowing Match. This event unites our community in paying tribute to our hardworking farmers and the storied farming legacy that defines Middlesex County.
