Enbridge Gas Inc. and Township of Warwick Fire & Rescue have joined forces to enhance home safety and eliminate fire and carbon monoxide-related fatalities. Through Safe Community Project Zero, a campaign by the Fire Marshall’s Public Fire Safety Council, Township of Warwick Fire & Rescue will receive combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Enbridge Gas has contributed $315,000 to this initiative this year, bringing the total to over 86,000 alarms provided to Ontario fire departments in the last 15 years. These alarms, when properly installed and maintained, offer crucial early warnings for escaping house fires or carbon monoxide exposure, protecting against the silent and deadly gas produced during incomplete fuel combustion.
