A Strathroy driver has been charged with impaired and leaving the scene. OPP tell us on Sunday, they received a call to Elm Tree Drive in North Middlesex following a report of a hit-and-run collision.
A concerned resident contacted the police when a vehicle veered off the road, entered a ditch, and then fled the accident scene. Numerous officers responded to the location and found the vehicle not far from where the collision occurred, disabled on the roadside.
Police determined the driver had consumed alcohol before the incident. Consequently, the driver was taken into custody and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment. A 38-year-old resident of Strathroy, has been formally charged.
